Grandparents

Before, during and after Keith & my Caribbean vacation, Luke and Anna had the great honor to spend a lot of time with both sets of grandparents. They truly love being with both of them and are so lucky to have two grandmas and two grandpas. Somehow we didn't capture any pics of the kids with Bill & Brigitte (the week leading up to the vacation was a little hectic and riddled with some sickness in the house), but Luke does keep taking tea bags out of the drawer and saying "this is for Bill's tea" and he has been carrying around a silky green shirt that Brigitte gave us, like it's his security blanket. 

A few new things happened while we were away/ while the kids were in care of their grandparents: 1) Anna started saying "No" ...like often and with some sass. 2) Anna started wrestling with Luke ...like, she comes up behind him, pulls him down to the ground and starts play-wrestling with him and giggling. 

I'm not sure what went on here with the grandparents :)

And Luke keeps recounting little snippets from the week, which tells us that he had a great time with his Duffy and Millette grandparents.

Anna is really into books. If she likes you, she'll bring you a book, sit on your lap or right up next to you, and ask you to read it as she points to things with her thumb. Here she is with my Dad, but Bill said she did this with him so often that he started calling her The Librarian...

 Luke has recently gotten way into his Thomas the Train track and trains again (after a long hiatus)...

 I missed the best horsing around action, but here's a peek at these two turkeys, who now love jumping on the couch, hitting each other with pillows, and asking any adult around to build them a fort our of the couch cushions. It's so cool to see them playing together and having fun. We typically only have to remind Luke 5 times per play session to be gentle with Anna; but pretty soon (if not already) we'll be telling her to be gentle with him!
