Luke had a busy day or his 3rd birthday yesterday. He, Kian and Anna had muffins for breakfast...
And then Luke went to camp at his pre-school. Kian headed off to shadow Keith doing Mohs surgery. Look at these two in their scrubs...
Luke received lots of birthday kisses from Anna...
...and birthday balloons from Pilar (the big one sings Happy Birthday....over and over...)
We decorated the kitchen...
And put "party lights" as Luke calls them up in his room (they were from his b-day party last year)...
When Keith and Kian returned from work we took Luke to the toy store to choose a gift. He selected this Jeep with horse trailer, which is one of the "truck bideos" that he loves to watch...
He played with it all evening. At one point he said to Luke "I'm so happy!" with a big smile...
I tried to get a photo of the oldest and youngest Duffy grandchildren... this is the best I could get. But it was amazing because Anna went right to Kian!
We Skyped with Bill & Brigitte while doing Luke's cake...
They pulled out the singing birthday bear and Luke thought it was absolutely hysterical...
This made me laugh... on the truck video for this Jeep & horse trailer, they show the jeep driving over some small rocks, to show how the shocks on the Jeep work. One of the first things Luke did was to put a few small rocks in the path and drive the Jeep over it, just like he has seen in the video many times. I guess he wanted to make sure it wasn't false advertising!
By the time he went to sleep it was right around the time (9:19 pm) that he entered the world 3 years ago.
All in all, I think he had a pretty good 3rd birthday.
Love the blog. Thank you. Luke is growing so quickly. His hair is so short! OK, a summer hair cut. Keep us all in the loop. We see one, can't wait to see the next. And give Anna big kisses from all of us!
