Lagoon

Yesterday Pilar took Luke & Anna to Lagoon, a local amusement park. Five nights per week Pilar stays overnight with a 91-year old man named Peter (Mr. Peter, as she calls him) and he owns Lagoon, so I've been hearing about it for a long time but have never been. She was very excited to take the kids (with free tickets from Mr. Peter :)

Pilar's best friend Patty went with them, which was good because starting in July, Patty will be our new nanny. Unfortunately Pilar is moving to Las Vegas to be with her family, which is wonderful for her but very sad for us :( 

 Hopefully Patty (who was taking the photos) wasn't scared off watching Pilar chase Luke around the park!

 Or wasn't overwhelmed to see how much Anna adores Pilar...

 My parents have a familiar looking photo of me on the Dumbo ride at Disney World, circa 19-late-70s!...

 Obviously it was a hot day, but the kids were both excited about riding the train. When they returned home Luke talked about the train all evening, and Anna kept saying "chugga, chugga, choo-chooo!"

 According to Pilar, Luke had the time of his life. We'll have to bring the kids back some time soon.
I'll post more on Pilar later this week. Sunday will be our last day with her.
