Well, it had been a full 9 months since Luke needed stitches, so yesterday was the day for a second go-around.
He fell while playing on a jungle gym and had it stitched it up within an hour. That means that we let ourselves into the derm surgery clinic and Dr. Duffy sewed, while yours truly held Luke down. He's a strong little bugger. There was lots of crying but as soon as we finished and gave him some apple juice all was well.
The scar from his chin injury is completely healed and nearly invisible, so I have no doubt that this one will turn out well. Who knew that having Keith become a Mohs surgeon would be so literally useful to our family.
Today he has a shiner, but otherwise he's fine.
My brother used to own the nickname "Wildman" because of his constant climbing and occasional injuries. But I think there's a new Wildman in town.
