Two Years Old

Anna B. turned two years old yesterday. 

She is such an amazing little lady -- talking up a storm, so helpful and cooperative, really into books, a great sleeper, very sweet with her new baby sister, and funny. 

When she woke up yesterday we showered her with gifts. Luke was especially excited to present her with her new Strider bike, which he put together with Grampa the night before. He wheeled it into the room saying "Anna, I gave this to you!" She also got two new baby dolls and a Dora the Explorer chair. 

She played with Claire for a while, then spent some time pretending that Claire's bassinet was a row boat (you can guess who came up with that game). Keith also took Luke and Anna to the playground to ride bikes. Luke enjoyed showing Anna how to use her Strider and she loved it. 

Our babysitter Patty stopped by with a cake and a doll for Anna, then the Petersons came over for dinner and another cake. 

In the morning Anna didn't seem to understand all of the attention she was getting, but by the time we were singing Happy Birthday and eating cake for the second time, she was really into it! I think she had a fun day, but then again, she's a happy kid anyway. I can't believe that she's two already, yet in many ways she seems even older than that, especially now that we have a newborn around.
