Last night we got over a foot of snow in a pretty short time. As Keith says, it was puking snow. But, but 3 pm this afternoon almost all of it had melted from the roof, sidewalks and driveway. And there was a river of melted snow water running down the side of the street. It's all that bright sun and dry air we get here. Utah is great that way--it's rare for snow to stick around and form icy-hard structures that last for days like it does back east. Check out my next post, "student driver"... you can't tell that there was over a foot of snow hanging around just hours earlier.
Keith was able to head up to Alta for a few hours in the morning and said it was "off the hook." He was very sad that he had to get off the hill by noon to get to work.
He also watched Luke in his office for an hour this afternoon because I had a doctor's appointment and Pilar had to take the day off. Apparently he charmed all of the ladies in the derm department, had a few M&Ms, then fell asleep in Keith's office.
On the way home Luke said something surprising... two buses passed us and he said "two buses!" I've been counting around him for a long time but he never seems interested and I didn't realize that he could say numbers, nevermind recognizing quantity. But sure enough, he registered that two buses were driving by. What a smarty!
Your right that snow would be ice here. I can see in the student driver posting how it was all gone. You have to watch the student driver, hide the keys and lock the doors until he's 16. Feel good. All our love. B&B
