Our front yard had started looking a little ratty (lawn full of clover and dandelion, lots of weeds, over-grown and dated-looking plants), so we decided to have it re-landscaped. Working with landscaper, we had new sod laid, pulled out all of the existing plants except two and planted a new variety, and had a stone patio built on the shady side of the house. That is now the 'front porch' that I've always wanted.
